Our Story
About the Association
The Perth African Nations Sports Association (PANSA) is dedicated to breaking down barriers and providing life opportunities to African–Australians through the medium of sport.
For over a decade, PANSA – and its predecessor, the Perth African Nations Football Council – has worked to ease the transition of new arrivals from African nations into their new home in Western Australia.
At the heart of our philosophy is social cohesion; we believe it is important for migrants to maintain their identity, while feeling they have a place in the wider Australian community. Sport is a language that we all understand.
PANSA is the only African sports association of its kind in Western Australia.
The Perth African Nations Sports Association respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land on which we work and pay respect to the First Nations Peoples and their elders, past, present and emerging.
PANSA is a registered charity.
