Event Support Volunteers

We are currently recruiting people who care about community and preferably have a background, passion and interest in sport. Roles are:

Game Area Marshall – observe game area and address issues on the spot, ensuring safety and enjoyment for all

Game Day Attendee Liaison – speak with members of public and community officials, providing information and directions around the venue.

Venue Supervisors – observing the venue goings-on and, working with the team, ensuring the tidiness, order and equipment requirements are met.

PANSA Peer Leaders

What is a PPL? A PANSA Peer Leader is an outstanding member of the CaLD Australian community with a view to achieving in the sport and recreation industry as a career or a secondary course in life. The PPL is learning while on the job and will access the inside of the sports industry while enjoying flexible hours and a regular complementary income source. PPLs will influence others around them to enjoy sport more, engage with clubs and mainstream environments and also become role models and leaders in their community. Enjoy a $1000 per year scholarship, payment to learn and work in sport and other great benefits.

How does one become a PPL? Simply complete the application form and get someone to verify for you, preferably someone experienced in the industry who knows you. Send your application in by the due date and our expert panel will determine who will be accepted into the first round and who will be in the standby list and who will be in the second round. We will then advise you, and if you are successful, we will send you paperwork. After processing your paperwork you will receive your first payment, a set of clothing, sports gear and a first-aid kit. The role will last for two-guaranteed years subject to your continuous meeting of requirements, and then some first-round candidates will be selected for continuing opportunities including working with the second round of PPLs.
